I've had a few uploaded images deleted because they were pay content but I couldn't find any evidence of them being so. Any tips?

Usually it will have a URL of a paysite watermarked on it, or the words "Do not distribute"

I usually get stuff from rule34.xxx, so I figure that if it's posted there it would be fine on e621 but I guess not?

Step 1: If you find it on any booru besides our own check the source, if the source isn't an official FA, IB or tumblr link check the newest threads on u18chan and others.

Step 2: Read the OP at the source

Step 3: Google the name of the artpack if it was in the source.

Step 4: ???

Step 5: Profit.

Seriously though, the quickest way to find out is to check the official profiles of the artist or the OP of thread you find them in, people generally post the information on where to buy them if they want the money or where they found them if sharing unallowed.
