Topic: how to block a guy and how to block ?

Posted under General

Just put "user:<username>" in your blacklist, e.g. "user:raven144" without the quotations, and tick Apply Blacklisted Users to Forum Posts, Comments, Dmails, and Blips, then save settings.

They can still see everything you post but you can't see them.

Don't put partial click-bait questions in the title.

Judging by the way he posted the same fragmented question in his actual post, I suspect he's just not entirely fluent in English.

Just so it has been said: Blocking admins won't make the records stop. If you don't want to get banned you should listen to them.

Wait, can you see his blacklist or are you just assuming that is what he's doing?

what is it with people on this site and falsely labeling clickbait? is it a meme with the staff?

The title was a straightforward question, nothing in the title was even remotely misleading

I'll stop having autistic shit-fits when people stop saying stupid shit (you can blame one specific user for this, I had a serious forum post completely derailed and destroyed, I won't be naming names for the fear because I know that they crave the attention)

It's like asking a grammar nazi to stop telling people the different between your and you're, I'm working with the best intentions here

Perhaps maybe consider since I told him not to, that maybe I have edited the title? :^)
Original title was "how to". Nothing more. I do not like clicking threads to find out what it is about.

Actually the original title was "how to" which is pretty... uninformative to say the least.

I honestly assuemd the same thing-- dude's got TWO records in the last 24-ish hours for creepy commenting... then comes here and asks this. I mean... Put like that, it seems pretty obvious.

That also said, I sent him a PM letting him know that if someone was harrassing him, that it was reportable, and that I would be willing to have a look if he wans't sure it was "bad enough" to be harassment.

....but I'm pretty sure I know what the answer is.

Ok then, if that's the case then it was clearly clickbait, but since you already changed the title and still left the comment without clarifying...

If a admin says not to do something, they very likely did something to correct what was done incorrectly.
