Topic: How did e621 get its name?

Looks like 6/21 is coming to a close

but, With all the peeps
celebrating the day, it got me thinking.

Where did the name "e621" come from if you don't
mind me asking ╹‿╹)

E621 gets its name from Monosodium glutamate, which is a sodium salt. The salt part being how fucking salty this user base is.

Really though, I'm not sure.
Spoiler alert I shouldn't be on e621 because I am allergic to MSG.

I mean true, but i believe its actually because msg is an addicting substance, it makes ramen so delicious, their for this website is addicting. And delicious too!, well sometimes.

While I agree for the most part, Commenting on a thread from the
past is a general no-go here. You got me on why but the general rule
of thumb is a thread older than a year should be reborn like a Phoenix
rather than dug up from the boneyard, dood.
