Topic: Issue with Anthro_on_Feral implying Bestiality, and Bestiality implying Interspecies.

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The issue is that everything that is tagged Anthro_On_Feral is now automatically and irreversibly tagged "Interspecies" -- even things that don't actually meet the Wiki's definition for "Interspecies." By a strict reading of the Tag Wiki, an anthro deer and a feral deer isn't "Interspecies", but it's automatically and permanently tagged with that, now.

Kind of sounds like this is a result of a disagreement long ago about whether or not "bestiality" could ONLY be between a human and an animal, or if bestiality could also work for anthro on feral. If it were only between human and animal, then the interspecies implication would work. I'm pretty sure we finally decided that anthro-on-feral would also count as bestiality though (which makes perfect sense, in my opinion).

So yeah, I think we'll probably just have to remove this implication, even if it is true 99% of the time.

This really bugged me for a while (and still does), the anthro_on_feral -> bestiality implication

Not saying it's wrong or anything, but what tag would someone who wanted to search for exclusively human x feral scenes use, without having to use additional tags?

There's already anthro_on_feral, feral_on_feral, and human_on_anthro,
But no human_on_feral or something similar used exclusively for those situations (human x feral, and nothing else)

I couldn't find the forum topic where the anthro_on_feral was discus, but if the suggestion of human_on_feral is de-aliased from bestiality, and made into a separate tag, then human_on_feral could imply bestiality

human_on_feral -> bestiality

And those that would like to use the anthro_on_feral to include bestiality searches could have that as well
-

Summary

That way, everything I summed up in the previous paragraph would happen, and everyone should be able to use the tags they want to get the results they want without conflict

OR

Both suggestions remove the interspecies conflict, but the first one is more flexible, in that it takes everyone's opinions into account
The drawback being that the first one is more work to implement
-

Also, regardless of which option we choose, those same-species anthro x feral posts would have to have the interspecies tag removed, which could only be done (to my knowledge) by un-implicating something;

Whether that's bestiality -> interspecies
Or human_on_anthro -> bestiality

Human_on_feral. ;)
Perhaps you haven't checked it lately, but human_on_feral actually exists now. It got created a while back, and although it's still undertagged, that'll fix itself with time.
