Topic: "Cartoon anus" new rating?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I'll state for starters that I wish to avoid making a new tag for cartoon anuses right now, a proper tag name fails me and I don't think "cartoon_genitals" fits.

post #877877 & post #836241 are going to be two examples. These are tagged "anus", but their design for the anus is an X; said images are not rated explicit for this reason.

Clearly, there can be discrepancies between X anus and an actual one, usually because it is not meant to be used sexually, or in some cases, suggestive. They are meant to be details, and nothing more.

So, should we rate X anuses, or O anuses, with the same skin color underneath (i.e., just X/O, no discoloration to make it look like an anus)differently, or should all anuses be tagged explicit, regardless of nature or design?

All of those should be explicit without exception. It's easier to just stay consistent instead of just inventing new things left and right.

These should be tagged as something besides anus to differentiate them from all the normal ones. Something like x_anus should work.

Someone have seemed to create x_butt alread, which is actually much worse and I though about x_anus or cartoony_anus at first.

I really cannot understand the reasons behind cartoony buttholes, something that always has been done in a non explicit setting in newspapers and everywhere on the web, being now rated as explicit. The logic behind "An anus is an anus" just sounds wrong on so many levels. That'd be like labelling any picture as explicit because some furry dude is messing around with a sausage wiggling it like a deek between his legs. A cartoony anus isn't an anus, it's a X mark on a safe themed drawing for a tad of comedic purposes and to mark the spot.

The idea of those drawing being explicit because they have a cartoony X on their butt just sounds, plainly ridiculous : Big bulges and cleavages being labelled as questionable, alright, but marking a butt with an obvious cartoony X oh no now that's going way too far that's way too explicit.

I would really think that tagging them with x_anus and questionable when the character pose is, well, questionable, would be the best solution. Blind rating all of them as explicit just, sounds extremely lazy to a certain degree.

If that rule has to remain, silly as it is, then some pictures clearly need to have a different rating, by how explicit they are like these :

Especially this one, which is double the explicicity by having not only a drawn anus, but even a vagina

At any rate it will be interesting to see if they Americanize the Oricorio when the episode comes out in the USA

Personally I think its a bit extreme of a rating but you could always edit (with artists permission I would hope) it out to make it safe I guess...
