Topic: So Dog-Bone is back...

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

First off: yay! This is fine.

Second: the undelete request mentioned giving the artist a special conditional DNP status where only she'd be able to post her artwork. At least, that's what was requested. But now the actual DNP page says this:

Conditional Do Not Post:

Dogbone / dog-bone / dogboneartwork - only patreon / paid content is DNP

Umm. This is a little confusing. =/

Before I decide to upload anything and potentially get either slapped on the wrist by an admin or hit by a takedown request, can someone tell me what exactly was agreed upon by dog-bone and the staff?

Or maybe rather, confirm that what's in the quote is not only a compromise chosen by the admins (because the whole For E621 tag thing wasn't an option), but also something she has actually agreed to.

Thanks!

Is there any effort to politely ask some artists to reverse their takedowns, after years have passed?

Is this field not visible to normal members?

The DNP list is always the deciding factor that is used for any DNP records. Only what is written on the list is valid, if I make an error on the list I will correct the error and no record will be given to others if my own fuck up caused it.

All that said, what's written on the DNP list is correct, I had an email conversation with Dogbone and her husband, and that is the deal we agreed upon.

"Dogbone / dog-bone / dogboneartwork - only patreon / paid content is DNP"

seems pretty clear to me unless i'm misunderstanding it: patreon and any other paid content remains DNP.

Can I ask, here, that you update the Conditional DNP page?

It is. But I wasn't certain if it had been denied for reasons of not being an actual takedown request, or just because the proposal wasn't agreeable.

Cool, thanks. I know it probably sounded like a dumb thing to ask, but I just felt I needed to make absolutely sure this was the case for some reason. :)

Call it intuition perhaps, as there's a little bit of a drama history here.

It's not so much that line itself that was the issue here. I mean, yeah, taken on its own that sounds clear enough. :P

+1 polite requests. I've had success with this before but it should probably come from an admin (not that they don't already have more than enough to do). "Hi Artist, this is Admin with e621. I'm reaching out to check if you'd like to remain on the Do Not Post list or if anything has changed in the past Number years. We are dedicated to archiving quality furry art and we want to reflect artists' up-to-date preferences. Thanks, Admin."

Neato. Dunno how much of their new content isn't covered by the conditional DNP, but I'm sure there's quite a bunch of pics that needs to be posted.
