Topic: Seeking help making a character tag.

My dear Sona got drawn, and she's beyond adorable One problem though - how do I tag her? Sona itself is half pony half other crowd, there's sona_(lol) and sona_buvelle, but this one has neither a named setting nor is it her first name... I don't want to use Persephone Jones because it's not what she goes by... don't want to use PJ because she hates it... maybe something like "sona (gryphon)"?

I think the general rule for tagging OCs who share names with others is name_(creator).

So you're the character owner? Then:

Sona_(SadPandaInSnow)

That's how we tend to tag any similar-named characters that get added after the first, at least if they're not part of some franchise (example: Spike_(MLP) or indeed Sona_(LoL)).

Oh, and it usually won't show up with the caps of course. Too bad, really. :P

She is not (friend's, asking for 'em), but while I'm at it, would shortening it to SPiS be acceptable or not? It becomes a bit unwieldy a tag.

Umm, I guess so. Especially since you're aware of it being an abbreviation yourself. Would be more dubious if we abbreviated a character owner who's hasn't even been informed about their character getting posted here.

I've seen more unwieldy tags though, some people have really convoluted online aliases!
