Also, a simple "Verflucht!" will then serve you just nicely for your purposes.

Yes it is, it is however also the one that comes closest to what you seemed to wish to use.
The most often used would then be "Was?" and "Hey" or "Na klasse...", but that depends on the part of germany in question.
