Topic: Image Sourcing and Editing

I'm wondering if there's a solution to stopping image links from changing when people edit.

Basically, when I add a direct image link to an image on FurAffinity, it shows up fine once uploaded, but whenever someone edits the image, the source links changes to either the artist's page on FA, or the image displayed in their gallery.

Any suggestions?

Edit the link in the source to the submission page yourself.
Because why would you want the deeplink to the image above either the submission page or the profile page.

But to answer your original question, no, there is no way to stop this from happening, the change from deeplink to artistpage is coded into the site, the change to the submissionpage is another user manually changing the source.

Linking directly to the image instead of to the actual submission page is silly anyway. The image is right there on e621: Why would I need an external link to...what I can already just right-click and save?

I want to be able to click the source link to go to the submission page, maybe to read comments people have left, maybe to see more in the artist's gallery, maybe even to see what comments the artist put as their image's description.

A deep link is better than no link, but not by that much.
