Topic: New Pokemon "Type: Null" tag issues

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Some new information regarding Pokemon Sun & Moon was released recently, including a new 'mon called Type: Null. However, this presents a problem with tag searching, as "type:" is a modifier(?) and not part of the actual search term. Obviously the whole system can't be changed to accommodate one tag, so should it be listed as "type_null" instead, simply removing the colon?

Also, in the future, what section would this sorta question be better suited for besides General?

+1 to type_null due to the search modifier. I'm personally not a big fan of pokemon myself, but it makes sense to replace the : with a _.

Right now, Pokemon types tags seem to follow the form *_type; as you can see here. They are not tagged very often, but if you were to create a new tag for this Pokemon type, is should probably be null_type.

Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions is probably the correct category for this type of question.

"Type: Null" is a new mon, not a new type.

I spend too much time on e621. This Pokemon is my evidence, because my first thought on seeing the name was "that's going to cause tagging problems".

My mistake, I don't follow Pokemon news.
In that case, I would think @Rontio is right in using type_null.

So after watching the latest Pokemon video, am I to assume the game is about Mewtwo-like artificial Pokehybrids escaping from labs?
