Topic: How useful is the sharp_claws tag?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

That's...a really good question

No idea at the moment

Probably something to do with talons and retracted claws

Claws are sharp by default. There doesn't seem to be any difference. Alias?

Can't think of a reason it shouldn't be

Does sharp_claws accomplish anything that regular claws doesn't?
(Something with claw marks perhaps?)

I like the idea of aliasing them too. The less popular big_claws and long_claws tags seem more helpful, anyway. Perhaps acute_angle_claw_tip and obtuse_angle_claw_tip?

big_claws' posts seem to imply that thick_claws or heavy_claws might be more correct (the visible part of claws are typically thin; the posts under big_claws are thick enough that they might be reasonably identified as pointy bones). There is a bit of a mixup IMO (I saw a few images in big_claws that should have instead been long_claws)

On OP, sharp_claws seems to be generally anti-TWYS -- IMO the only correct time to tag sharp_claws would be when you can see them ripping through something (in an animation, because you can't discern 'sharp' without looking at how -easily- they cut)
