It seems like 'Nightwish' was made into a character tag, as the most recent post with the tag appears to have a character with the name 'Nightwish'

I vote we leave it as a character tag. I don't think nightwish_(band) is a tag relevant to this site.

but only 1 of 4 posts in nightwish tag has character named nightwish, 3 of them are animations with nightwish music in background.

Oh, I was on mute. Two separate tags sounds right in that case.

It should probably still be disambiguated. One is a character, the other is a band. Both of these are in use so the tag should not be a general tag.

nightwish_(disambiguation) with both nightwish_(character) and nightwish_(band)

This would clear up both the current and future tagging issues.
