Topic: question about commission(er)s

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

i was just looking through roanoak's pics and noticed some had an extra character tag when there was only 2 or 3 characters visible in the pic.

i fixed the mistake in pool #4023 by removing the extra character tag and moving the relevant info into the description field instead.

i doubt this is the only time confusion concerning those who have commissioned a pic has happened so my question would be: how should commissioners of pics be handled? as a tag such as name_(commissioner) or simply have the info in the description like i did?

On all of my posts, I will always mention the artist, commissioner(s) & char. owner(s).

So it's best to mention it in the description so that people would know who commissioned it.

+1 for commissioner info in description, mainly because it's not really that helpful of a tag when searching plus that the commissioner may not even be the copyright holder of the piece in question (so copyright type tag doesn't necessarily fare any better).

alright then, guess i'll just leave a reminder comment when fixing this kind of mistake like i usually do when fixing/adding gender tags to the search results of: -female -intersex

Kenket has made LOTS of headshot_portraits that are perfect as avatar pics. You can probably see a couple of other ppl using one of Kenket's works.
