Topic: Chip_(sonics)'s species

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

well, i just checked and it seems most places have Chip listed as spirit or demigod so i dunno how we should tag him. that said however...maybe chipmunk would work?

i also saw this on wikipedia:

"Sonic decides to assist him in his quest to find out who he is, and the monster becomes a guide for the player"

that's mean, hes not a monster. unlike his counterpart, dark gaia. but then again, opinions and all that, so my opinion could be considered incorrect as well.

No, it isn't. Although it is meant to be a joke, it does make logical sense. Chip is pretty much a deity, and thus species really doesn't apply to him. In his mortal form, however, I believe he is a chihuahua.

"it does make logical sense"

not really. for example: if a human were to suddenly become a deity then they'd still be a human. they'd just have supernatural powers is all.

i doubt something being a diety means it magically has no species designation. and even if he could change forms at will, each form would still be a different species. it wouldn't all just be considered "deity".

mortal form... uh huh, hes still the deity just with his powers stripped/sealed/etc.. oh and FYI: nothing is ever truly immortal. theres always a way for something to die and/or be destroyed.

ageless: a life span so vastly long that no one knows how long it truly is.

2 forms of physical immunity: either immunity to all disease/toxins or immunity to all forms of physical damage.

similar to phys immunity, mental/spiritual (or whatever counts as a spirit >.>) immunity.

i've never heard of anything in mythology or anywhere else that had all these "aspects" of immortality. theres always away for them to be harmed and thus ended.

that's getting off-topic though. all i wanted was a confirmation on his species, not discuss deities and other stuff.

Forget I even mentioned the word deity. Forgive me, I was half-asleep.

Officially, he's listed as a spirit. That would be his true form, rather than his mortal form. The difference being that the true form is, well, his true form, and his mortal form is really a more physical and weaker form, usually for interacting with normal people AKA mortals.

Now, his mortal form, on the other hand, is described by my man Vector as a "winged chihuahua". I wholeheartedly agree.

So what we have here is a world-saving chihuahua spirit that is the motherfucking personification of light. Yeah. There's your species tag: species:world-saving_chihuahua_spirit_that_is_the_motherfucking_personification_of_light

ok, got it. still think i've heard of him being referred to as a chipmunk though but i could be mistaken on that.
