Topic: Casual & Uninterested

What is the general definition for casual?

From what I know, it's casual sex. It's a casual routine of having sex, not focused on the act and more on something else, such as talking on the phone, playing a game, talking to others, etc.

Does it mean something else because the tag has a lot of other uses (or misuses) to it.

As for uninterested, is there another tag for that? It seems very small, despite that I've swear I seen more involving character uninterested in sex.

Finally, how can one tell the difference between casual and uninterested without text?

I think of casual as more of an out in plain view and nobody cares but the ones involved.

Uninterested would be more like an individual on the phone or doing something and looking bored.

Both come down to body language and interaction or lack thereof.

  • Casual in the sex sense I don't even see how you'd be able to see since the sex itself doesn't have to be "casual" itself. What's casual is how you view the act; Often characterized by a low level of emotional attachment (which most (but definitely not all) porn on this site focuses on). This would be pretty hard to tag according to twys.
  • Otherwise, you can have a casual clothing as opposed to formal clothing, depending on how you personally define those, a business_suit could be formal while simple pants and t-shirt would be casual.
  • Or I guess you could have a casual way of being, but I think that's hard to determine by looks.

If you ask me casual has close to zero helpful use and I would be fine with aliasing it to invalid_tag.

In the case of uninterested, that's probably easier to define, maybe as lack of commitment towards an action or being more interested in something other than the task at hand. Also maybe one can find more in bored, but not sure if there is any other more specific tag for that particular thing.

That still counts as exhibitionism and public

What about things like:
This
This
And This

The body language is still somewhat enjoying it but it's just so routine, and casual.

Casual is still too ambiguous for practical use but I found the low usage no_reaction tag might fit for some of these cases, but hardly ideal either. Maybe one could get un/dis?passionate in the works, but sounds easy to mistag as well.

Oops, sorry, didn't refresh for your post.

Especially since, no_reaction can be done by many things aside from what I've already stated. Like mindbreak or hypnotized. There's got to be a better tag.

Also maybe one can find more in bored, but not sure if there is any other more specific tag for that particular thing.

No bored works. You'd just have to refine a rating:e but it gets the job done. Sometimes a general tag like bored is enough to make sure images get tagged correctly, so trying to be more particular can lead to less frequent tags under it.

Though the only thing that does become a problem with both bored and no_reaction is that of kuudere / Emotionless personality types such as this or this

Seems to be tagged a lot for 'relaxed' poses. Those would fit better under reclining.

There's so many definitions that casual should be disambiguated.

I'd suggest casual_sex for Onii-chan's examples, cause I agree casual could do with some disambiguating reformulation but it really shouldn't just get aliased away to invalid, at least not until we've made a set of clearly defined variants. Casual sex for instance being a legit subject that some people find hot.

I also disagree with that being hard to tag objectively. When participants are precoccupied by other stuff (that one by Sarovak is a really good example too, or when there's a bunch of other people sitting around not giving a shit, then that's clearly a casual approach to sex. Especially in case of the former. Of course there will always be pictures that blur the lines (like most of the gaming + sex pics, though most of those still contain some visual clue about enjoying the sex even while distracted, so they should get multitasking but perhaps not casual_sex) and become more open to interpretation, but when it's this clear it shouldn't be wrong to tag it.

Anyway, some of these have just been tagged weirdly. Like, I can understand this getting casual since it's someone being laid-back (and the public nudity whilst being laid-back maybe also plays a role), and that's another sensible definition of this very undescriptive tag. You could say that would qualify it for something like casual_nudity. But there's also this kinda stuff that's pretty hard to explain or justify. It's just sex.
