Topic: boss_monster tag

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Why do we have it? It's not an actual species and it doesn't add useful information to posts. It kind of skirts the tag-what-you-see rule. People who haven't played Undertale tend to use the goat or caprine tags, which work fine. boss_monster is restricted entirely to asriel_dreemurr, asgore_dreemurr, and toriel.

This is somewhat of a duplicate of forum #177110. However, since that thread's original purpose is more/less resolved I'm going to leave this one up for discussion.

Wow I'm dumb. I missed that thread. No, you're right, this has been discussed already. Granberia even brought up my point about TWYS. So let's just call this another vote for +caprine -boss_monster.

This tag seems like a gigantically bad idea waiting to happen.

Literally a spoiler tag

I don't think the possible spoiler was ever considered in the other thread.

Not arguing either for or against the tag, but it's not restricted to just those characters. Fan characters are a thing.

Whether or not something is a spoiler isn't really a huge factor with tagging here, so I'm not surprised.

Okay, there's a single fan char, but he is (in the artist's own words) a dragon/goat hybrid. So that's not much grounds for the boss_monster tag.
