Also on wildlife and other animals for the same reason. Basically, a tag-like object stuck to the ear without being an earring. Should also implicate ear_piercing.

Basically, it's a slip of paper with writing on it that's supposed to cast or counter magic spells or repel the supernatural. It's common in Japanese anime and manga when dealing with supernatural and paranormal themes.

I think they should be retagged appropriately to reduce confusion, the first as tag_(game), the second as graffiti, the third as license_plate, and the fourth as skin_tag.

The meta-tags by themselves are enough, I'd think.

• collar_tag, name_tag, tag - We should be able to combine most of these into something. The "name tag for a pet" is a common enough occurrence here that it could definitely be lumped into a single tag. I'd say use name_tag, but there isn't always a name (it can be just a symbol like with Housepets!) but collar_tag would probably work in most cases.

An argument could be made that names needn't be written out as words, but could be represented by one or more pictures (hieroglyphics and cutie_marks, for example) or even a smell (as mentioned in the webcomic "Freefall"), although the latter is a bit hard to realize with current computing systems.

Identifier Tags:

• name_tag – worn on a person or article of clothing other than a collar; can also be on other objects associated with a person
• collar_tag – worn on a collar
• dog_tags – specific style of identifier tags
• ear_tag – worn clipped onto an ear, but isn't an earring; need not have anything written/drawn on it
