Topic: Saurian vs. saurian_(artist)

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Currently saurian is an artist tag, but it is obviously a reference to some sort of species. But I'm not sure if that species is specific or not as, to me at least, it just looks like a generic anthro-ish dinosaur/lizard thing. There are 7 posts under this tag.

Saurian_(artist) is obviously an artist tag, and has 347 posts.

Is there any reason to keep saurian_(artist) as saurian_(artist) or would it be reasonable to use saurian as the artist sincce it's clearly the more used meaning, and instead move the vague lizard people to saurian_(species)?

Probably should be kept like that, since it's a common word and is easier to clean up if it doesn't get mixed up with the artist tag.

Either that, or we could alias it to lizard. Because that's what sauria means in taxonomy.

I googled it and noticed it's also a species in Star Trek which, although it probably won't get posted here, it isn't entirely unlikely. I definitely see your point.

For now I've at least made a disambiguation page. Hopefully that should help a little bit.
