Y'know, art for the western new year that is themed after the chinese zodiac. I've found it in three distinct tags (when tagged):

chinese_zodiac, chinese new year and year_of_the_tiger/dragon/horse/ram. (there's probably a fair amount in new_year too, e.g. post #797821)

Any idea what tags, if any, should be applied to these images?

To me, Chinese_zodiac feels like the best tag to use for those. Chinese new year seems more like something that should be tagged for the yearly celebration, in the same way as the new year tag is used.

Year_of_the_* tags can go under Chinese_zodiac, unless there's enough posts to warrant having separate tags for those.

I bet there could be EASILY 10-some for most of them, which is my threshold to justify a general tag. The thing is people don't usually tag them.

Seems likely. There's certainly a lot of them on pixiv, though I dunno how many have been uploaded here.

So yeah, those are probably worth keeping. Especially considering that there'll be more every year. Maybe those should be implicated to chinese_zodiac.

Even if there wasn't, it'd be worth having it open for when they do show up. It's something that tends to happen every new year.
