Topic: Tag Alias: diadem -> crown

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Seems like the right thing to do, good work.
Why was there a diadem tag in the first place though?

We had a thread about this. Diadem is more of a tiara than a crown.

Might fit slightly better under tiara, but it's a pretty small tag so either would probably work.

Because it sounds slightly cooler.

Traditional diadems are worn like a headband (here's an example, whereas crowns and tiaras are worn on the top of the head. Using MLP as an example, King Sombra is wearing a diadem.

Not that it's reflected in tagging, so might as well alias those.

And when Wikipedia says something, then it must be the truth. :-P

That is not a good idea to work with. Sure Wikipedia is a very valuable source for gathering information about all types of things, as well as providing additional information. And it's right most of the time, but its information should not immediately be taken for granted.

In general, a diadem is a bit of a mixture of a crown and headband. There are multiple variations too, where one time it looks more like a crown, but other times it looks more like a headband.

Ummm... I knew that, hence the :-P at the end of the line?
