Topic: goo

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Looks like this tag is being used for two different things: When there is goo in an image, and when in an image there is someone made of goo. Since the "goo" tag is a species tag at the moment, I figure we need a different tag for when there's just goo.

I would think slime would be the species, goo would be the material.

No, slime woulnd't work: It's got more of a negative/nasty connotation and it's not nearly as viscous. Slime is more like a thin nasty gel, like Nickelodeon would pour on people. Googirl/googuy are bad because species shouldn't include gender. Probably goo_(fluid) would work, and leave goo alone as a species.

Except Slime is the more commonly used name for that type of monster/character.
It just hasn't been made into a species tag yet.

As for the substance, as far as I can tell, goo and slime (not to mention goop, gloop, and muck) are being used to tag the same thing, so there's that to consider.

Concerning the species, we should probably stay away from gender-specific species tags like has been discussed before, and a term that can encompass all the weird variants people will inevitably come up with is desirable, so I'm going to suggest either goo_being, slime_being or, if we want to make it even more inclusive, amorphous_being.

Being is a silly addition, if we're going to specify type along those lines we just have to add (species) on the species tag.
Then it follows along the lines of existing tagging.
