Whoever thought this was a good idea to implicate a Jungle Book character to that series too?

I think it's actually legit. It seems to be a case of an official crossover where a few characters from Disney's Jungle Book were also part of Disney's show 'Talespin'. Interestingly enough, Shere Khan was even voice acted by the same person in both Disney's Jungle Book 2 and Talespin, taking over for voicing the character from the previous voice actor who did the first movie.

So the implication seems to check out after doing research on it. Surprised me though. I guess I never realised some of the same characters were in both things. I blame my lack of observational skills on the fact I was a kid last time I watched those... =/

Yes shere is in both series, but as long as Talespin and Jungle_book are different things, there is no reason that Shere_khan be implicated to either of them, because it makes no sense whatsoever to have any of these tagged with Talespin:
