Topic: When You Realize You're a Furry

Posted under Off Topic

I'm just looking to get to know the furs on this site a bit better and would like to know when you first realized you were a furry and how it happened, feel free to put in as much or as little detail as you would like, I'm all ears! The first time I realized it was about 7-8 years ago when I could feel myself feeling different when watching movies or shows with anthropomorphic characters, then I ended up watching a fursuit video and realized that I was totally into it! Not much of an origin story but feel free to top me. :P

When you realize you're the Fury.

BIG BOSS.

It was never a moment of realization for me. I liked pokeporn so I went on to find similar pron. I guess I can thank Strawberry Clock for that one.

I watched thousands of cartoons and I liked them. When I was a child I had no friends and no internet connection and what I did was acting like cartoon characters. I liked it.

Plus I added some of my characters to my favourite shows and rewrote some episodes - I think that leaded me to a writer.

When I was 13, I had a sexual attraction to Annabelle (From ADGTH) and my curiosity of how she looks nude leaded me to the damned site Paheal. I had to wait until my country's majority age(14) to join the site, and I joined the site the next year.

You know, paheal serves 2.5 times more posts than E621, and that's because many of them are EXTREME bullshit because paheal admins don't check and approve what users upload. I saw that many of well drawn pictures have a E621 source, so I just started to use E6 when I was 15, but E621's rules said I have to be 18, so I didn't make an account here.

It wasn't a moment, I saw lots of porn pictures from Paheal and I liked them. I used to be a paheal addict. Every cartoon I saw, I searched for its porn in paheal. So I could say I have no "moment" of realisation.

And I started to use the term furry since I joined this site, about 3 monthes ago. I chose my main character as my fursona and that's it.

I dunno. I started browsing furry art over anime because it was less creepy looking.

7 years later, I'm a peacock. The end.

When I was 6, I crawled naked around on all fours on the gas station floor, howling like a dog and had a massive boner. This was when I realized I was destined for something other than being with humans.

I also realized I was destined for timeout for the next four days.

I didn't. Furry is just another idea. There are lots of ideas I find interesting, but I'm not, like, a 'DCSS-ist' for thinking DCSS is basically best game in existence, or a 'coffeeist' for liking coffee. Identifying as furry seems to me as overly-specific as those two made up words ('DCSSist', 'coffeeist') are.
It's a useful idea, not an integral part of who I am.

To the degree of how you're describing it OP, never :/

I mean sure, when I was a kid I always had those dreams of turning into a canine or at least having a large tail, but after a while I got over those feelings. Even now I'm only a furry in the sense that I enjoy the artwork, like the idea and concept of anthropomorphic... things in general, and draw, as well as post my animal characters to furry sites.

I was watching How To Train Your Dragon a long time ago and I just couldnt fucking stop imagining the dragon's donger.

Made the whole movie pretty enjoyable actually.

And then I read Eragon. Same shit. Can't get dragon genitals out of my head.

Miss Kitty, getting the feeling of "I'm allowed to watch this?" during Let Me Be Good to You in The Great Mouse Detective

https://youtu.be/e2IctxaCPqw?t=15s

With a follow up of thinking Mrs. Brisby removing her cape was naughty as a kid.

Huh, all mice now that I think of it. Weird, and interesting.

Didn't actually know I was into furries, and Pokémon in particular, until around two years ago.

I found humanXhuman porn to get weird, samey and intrusive. That's when I started to search for supernatural stuff, dragons etc. I found a site called Herpy.net and 3D animations from the artist Rangarig. I stayed there for a while.

It wasn't until I saw a pic by tricksta get uploaded there before immediately being removed. I searched for the image, got here and the rest is history.

I'm still not sure what furries are

A furry, as in the furry fandom, is someone who has an interest anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.

A friend and I were trying to squick each other out, as you do as freshmen in high school, and he threw out "I read furry erotica online" at some point. I had no idea what that was, so I went a-googling and found...I think Trouble's Tales might have been the first one? I also found Goldfur's stuff pretty early, and there were illustrations for those stories. And that's how I became a furvert.

about two years ago I was browsing the interwebs looking for porn and I stumbled upon this site, I found furries and quickly became one. Yep. Super original

Spring break when I was fourteen I looked up Krystal porn.
Not much of a story. I found e6 that summer and just made an account when I turned 18.

While Disney animation is a gateway drug ...

I am pretty sure my first 'furry crush' was Vincent from the television series Beauty and the Beast that aired on ABC from 1987 thru 1989.

I was pretty young, and while I may not have known what a furry was at the time, I knew that I had a thing for him, and never looked back.

Even to this day, Ron Perlman's voice makes me a bit melty.
(whereas the voices of Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons turn me into a puddle of goo ... I'm looking at you, scar ...)

My discovery of Furries was on Newgrounds when I was thirteen. I started out with having a little bit of hatred for them because I thought they were weird and I didn't understand them. But over the years until 2010 my hatred was fading away to the point where I felt neutral towards them. At the summer of 2010 I realized that socially I'm no different from them and my interest began to grow. At the end of the summer I accepted the fact that I became one of them.

The only people that know about my furry side are my friends, they make dickish jokes about it but both my friends and I know they don't mean it...that much.
