My wee hamsters even outdistance the Smart ForTwo in that year by 3 MPG. If memory serves, I recall only the Prius and Jetta hybrids are better on the highway.

It makes me sad that I may be outgrowing the car, and am looking @ the Escape. Heavier, especially with AWD, yet twice the power when equipped with the 2.0 turbo.
Unfortunately 10 MPG down, and with higher insurance costs.
Stupid cars.
