Ice cream is a frozen dessert consisting of cream and sugar whipped into a froth and slowly cooled into a thick semisolid to give it a light texture, hence its name. It may be flavored with nearly anything. Unflavored ice cream is not, in fact, vanilla ice cream, but is called sweet cream.

This tag is added when there is any type of frozen custard, frozen yogurt, sorbet, gelato or otherwise frozen dairy dessert in the post, as they are all served the same way (a cone of sweet dough or crispy waffle, or a bowl) and look very much the same unless you are the one actually eating it, so finding out exactly what kind of frozen goodies a character is partaking in is a waste of effort.
