A mankini is a variation of the sling swimsuit meant to be worn by males.
A sling swimsuit is a type of one-piece swimsuit that uses straps around the neck and shoulders to suspend the lower parts of the garment to around the waist and pelvis while leaving the rest of the body (arms, legs, back, chest, hips) mostly exposed.
Because many modern societies do not perceive it to be in appropriate for a male to be topless: mankinis show even more skin, only covering the nipples (even the garment often covers nothing as their nipples are so big), shoulder blades and genitals.
The mankini was famously popularized by the 2006 comedy film Borat.
