Dicentra peregrina is a herbaceous perennial growing from a rhizome, native to mountains in Japan and nearby areas of East Asia. Known as コマクサ (komakusa) in Japanese, meaning "horse-grass" for its resemblance to a horse's head. Comes in varieties of pink and purple.
