Destiny 2 Is a free-to-play MMO FPS RPG game developed and published by Bungie et al. as a sequel to Destiny. It's initial release was on September 6, 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the Tagline: "New Legends Will Rise." When the game first came out on October 24, 2017 for PC it it was published through the Blizzard launcher. But after Bungie split from Activision and deciding to self-publish the game, it has been on Steam) and was taken off the Blizzard Launcher. The game has been nominated for many awards and in 2019 won "The Game Awards" for Community Support.

Destiny 2 is presented through the first-person perspective, with players able to navigate a large semi-open world structure spread out across multiple celestial bodies within our local Solar System. The premise remains the same classical Light vs Darkness struggle in a distant future 28th century post-apocalyptic setting as the prequel. Complete with the Traveler still hovering above the last remaining city as a gargantuan orb, whose presence grants the Guardians of the City the ability to wield the Light. In Destiny 2 the Traveler and the Light it brings is under threat from aliens it has abandoned in the past and the Darkness of Ghaul's Cabal, the story of Destiny 2 plays with concepts such as what happen to a Guardian when they are bereft of the Light.
