docked tail
For characters with a partially amputated tail, leaving behind a shorter tail with a stump, scar or surgical_suture at the tip. Among horses it is commonly also done by simply cropping the hair of the tail short.
Most commonly seen among dogs, and usually only in certain breeds, e.g. Boxer, Pit Bull, Miniature Pinscher, Doberman Pinscher, Rottweiler and Schnauzer.
