Besides being the R&D driver. Sho is a "hotshot" as opposed to keeping cool, inconspicuous, & cooperative. & even 40 years later fails to trust Braun, one of his subordinate managers. Whether because he's throwing Braun under the bus for a deal with Tatsuo (reminder: Tatsuo wants Sho dead) or because he is just that clueless.
Gives the impression that Sho is a nepo & trust fund baby who doesn't remotely understand his field. He only "expects results" without knowing what's "under the hood."

So Sho is double screwed. He doesn't understand the difficulty of R&D & the technology it generates, & is short on temper & possibly self-control.
