I feel it shows her favoritism by her making the girls hamburgers and Nigel is probably is starving in his cell, after all can he even feed him self now. And I can't imagine anyone but Tristan wanting to help him eat. I hope he gets his sight back some way.

I have said it before I'll say it again. What ever happens at the end I hope Luna makes it up to Nigel, and Nigel gets the best ending.

I'm pretty sure this setting plays by Greek/Hellenic deity rules, where the gods are incredibly flawed entities. Which is to say, she seems to be imperfect by design in the same way as Zeus and Hera and all the other Pantheon gods. And like said Greek gods (who could be and were regularly fooled, lied to, or otherwise tricked) I strongly suspect she actually isn't omniscient and isn't privy to all information in the world.

This puts limits on her as a goddess, which is a concept that is often difficult to fathom in our modern age of primarily monotheistic religion, where a deity, particularly a lead deity, is expected to be omniscient, omnipotent, and fair.

Having read through, I suspect her flaw isn't malice, but a desire to keep up appearances; as the Corruption spreads, she's aware things are actually quite grim but doesn't want to tell anyone how she really feels, in order to keep up the morale of those around her. A bit of the "captain smiling while the ship sinks," if you will.

I can't help but laugh every time I read the part about the hamburger being a very ancient recipe.

When is this set if burgers are ancient?

The "ancient" food thing was an unexpected lore beat. I bet Zummeng will end up referencing this more in the future and this is going to be a "you'll have to pay attention to get all of the lore" things for a long time.

There's so much this can imply for the story and I'm here for it, I hope it's a little more cheerful than Splatoon's "every game tells a tale of how humans killed 99% of themselves" in every game.

I think it would be a better showcase of Luna's feelings if we got a panel of Nigel in his cell, and there's just a burger. Actually showing us how bad she feels, and that she does care about him, rather than just her saying "OMG I am like, so sad."
