Topic: Hardblush artists?

Posted under Off Topic

If there's any place I might get an answer for this question it would probably be here.

And since the forums are dead atm, for some reason. I might as well ask now.

I just got a subscription for Hardblush, which I've wanted for some time. And in the course of looking through all the artist on the site, I noticed there's a fair amount of them but the question arises.

How does one become an artist on hardblush?

I checked the site and I didn't see any application area. So how does someone become an artist on that site? Is it a personal connection with it's owner? (Doesn't Onta own hardblush?) Or?

And who was the last artist to be accepted to the site?

If I remember correctly by some post in tokifuji's FA I think they make a contest where artists submit artwork for the website and from those they choose new members.

Onta owns the company or llc or whatever he's running for it so he decides who becomes employees...

HB is pretty professional, artists are hired on as long-term contributors to the gallery usually so there might even be contracts involved. But obviously Onta could also just commission whoever he wanted to make a one time piece for his site, like anybody else would. But he seems to prefer to select people for consistent representation on the site.

See I love Onta, especially the art they make.

But 20+ dollars is a lot for a month membership x.x

That's my only complaint about hardblush. I'm sure it's needed based on how much the artist request/how much you could realistically afford to charge without killing yourself. But it's still a lot.

pssst!
It doesn't always have to cost $20+, just wait a few days and someone will post it on like u18 or something...
But that's like wrong and immoral and that kinda shit so you didn't hear it from me.
