Topic: Tag Implication: win, epic_win, wintastic -> invalid_tag

I would rather see win, epic_win etc lumped into one tag. changing it into an invalid tag is generally not needed. it's subjective, but not all subjective tags are a bad thing

Agreed. At the very least, alias wintastic to win.

I glanced through them and found a few humourous, but quite frankly a lot of them aren't epic, nor win. Showed my roommate and downstairs neighbour (both of whom also come here) and they found some of them funny, but very few if any actually "win". I know I'm a bit of a stick-in-the-mud when it comes to things like that, but three people agreeing for the most part?

What should we alias them to? Amazing would be a good tag for it, imo.

I'd get behind amazing. While I wouldn't call them win, I was definitely impressed/amazed by a lot of them.

confused. What's the difference between 'win' and 'amazing' and what makes one superior to the other?

that said, amazing's pretty good, though I *am* fond of epic_win.

Amazing has an actual definition. Win is a term for when you beat someone else at something.

Internet slang win:
quality with which something wins a non-existant, abstract competition which has undefined criteria for winning
"win"
"full of win"

No real definition beyond "someone thinks this wins". Abstract, subjective, doesn't really make much sense beyond "this is something that's really neat/that I want", which does fall under amazing quite well.

So it's settled! All the epic and win tags will be aliased to amazing. Glad we got this sorted out.

edit: So I've added six already, as you can see here http://e621.net/tag_alias?query=amazing
List any more you find here so they can get aliased as well.
