Topic: Looking at e621 for support!

Posted under Off Topic

And by that, I mean that there is a game currently;y on indiegogo trying to get money for a 3rd time to support their game.
Beast's Fury is a fighting game that is, well, filled with furry characters, and as you all well know, furries in games get shut down pretty quick. The game doesn't have that much support at the moment and I don't know if me posting here about this is against e621 rules, but I figure that letting people in the furry community would help them dramatically.
I apologize if this goes against the rules and regulations of the site, I just sort of skimmed it.

No, since it was a furry game, it's no offending rules.
Idk about the game, so I let another one to tell you about it.

Beast's Fury had its chance. They've hosted far too many crowdfunding campaigns for a mismanaged product with very little in the way of progress to show after years of work. It worries me that people are *still* willing to throw money at this.

@parasprite
I didn't link anything because I didn't know if it would be against the rules :P

Cool, but I meant of it being like an "advertising" rule or something.

@Misappropriated
Aye, they have had a few (3 in total counting atm) but can they be blamed? They really want to the game out, but people are turned off because of the furry characters.

I think people are turned off partly due to the sheer lack of progress after multiple crowdfunding campaigns. After all this time, they don't even have one character complete. The main character thus far still doesn't have his finishing move fully animated, and they are instead relying on the rough animations from the very beginning of the project. The other character, Don, still isn't shaded, nevermind the stilted animations and his own lack of a fully animated finisher.

Alongside this, information about the project from the people involved in it has been slim to none. Adam Wan made a single journal about it a year or two ago when it was nearing the end of its kickstarter campaign, and Egoraptor and Maximillian have both done very little in the way of promotion for the project. There's still not much in the way of word on what is to become of their characters, nor have we seen much for the rest of the cast that they have in mind.

The project doesn't seem to have anyone associated with it to drive production in a solid direction, and it shows in how unfocused the development of the game has been thus far.

Well, to my knowledge, they never reached their intended Goal in any of the crowfunding. With lack of money, one can only get so much done.

Promotion for the game was lacking and they must do a better job at it...kind of why I'm here, not as part of their team or anything though.

They have about 14 people working on the game, and as their first game for being an indie dev, one could have a lack of direction. Especially when everyone's direction, more or less, is about money and they can't seem to find a direction with their game to go that way.

They haven't given up though and are still trying to get their game out there.

Well, that's the problem. If they're focusing more on the money rather the game instead, them I'm afraid that their project is bound to fail :/

Nuuuuuu!

This is true, but they really do need money to be able to produce the game. If they could get to their intended goal this time around, they are sure to have more time to showcase newer stuff and communicate with the community...which they kind of do already.

Was all for it at first, but now I'm not. It's like when you hear a new song and it's your fav but after thousands of times of hearing that same ol' song, it becomes played-out

@TheHuskyK9
I hear ya, but the only reason they are "repeating their song" is because they never made their intended goal, if we help them reach it, they might play a different tune.

Three crowdfund campaigns and it still doesn't even have enough content for me to make a five minute video to make fun of it?

How does that even happen?
