Topic: Should 'Human On Anthro' Be Removed?

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

It's too ambiguous; We already have 'human penetrating anthro' and 'anthro penetrating human', which both do its job, but better.

Plus, it gets used in place of 'human penetrating anthro' too much and thus renders blacklists (like mine) useless; People just throw 'human on anthro' onto the image and call it a day, and so my blacklist does not catch it.
And before you say "just blacklist human on anthro!"; That would also blacklist female human on anthro, if someone were to use this horribly ambiguous tag.

In short: 'Human on anthro' is too ambiguous; it's used in place of the more specific tags mentioned above ('human penetrating anthro' and 'anthro penetrating human'), thus rendering blacklists useless; And the two more specific tags do its work better.

Not all interactions between humans and anthros involve penetration, I think you'd be better off blacklisting human_on_anthro -female_human

We aren't going to make tags like male_human_on_female_anthro because if we had to do it for every combination of gender and form it would get excessive. Like, at least a hundred plus tags, most of which would go completely unused and can be substituted by a search like male_human female_anthro human_on_anthro. Plus, tags like male_penetrating_human and anthro_penetrating_female already exist and serve a similar function--(form)_penetrating_(different form of different gender)--though, some people do want to get rid of these tags.

No, human_on_anthro is meant to be ambiguous, or rather to be an umbrella tag that encompasses every (romantic & sexual) interaction between a human and an anthro.
People using the umbrella tag too much is not a valid reason to remove it entirely. If you find people aren't tagging the specific tags into posts, do yourself a favour and add in those tags yourself.

Ambiguous tags and blanket terms are very useful, sometimes people are okay with seeing both "human penetrating anthro" and "anthro penetrating human" without having to search for both separately.

For example, here is another ambiguous blanket term: Vore. Vore is less specific than unbirthing, anal_vore Urethral_vore, nipple_vore, breast vore, Oral_vore, cock_vore, absorption_vore, nasal_vore, ear_vore, tail_vore, etc.; and some people might want to see all of that but searching for it separately can be a pain in the ass.

Imo its generally not a good idea to use blacklists to try and filter out irrelevant content in place of the search, so either just be smarter with search or roll with it when nothing more can be done. Theres likely going to be disappointment when the blacklist doesnt work in some scenarios because of it.

no amount of tag reformation can fix poor tagging jobs, and while i won't tell you to "just blacklist human_on_anthro"; i'll go a step beyond and tell you to tag any posts that you think slipped past your blacklist with what you think is the appropriate tag

tagging is a community effort, and unless you're just that repulsed by furries getting it up the butt by a human cock, help other people just like you (or even people quite the opposite of you) and tag that post properly so that you won't have to see it again while other whackadoodles who are into it can see it more!
