Well, imagine that there was a furry god (that exists... I think...) that was serving an alternative universe.

Now, in that universe existed a bunch of worlds which could be: feral world, anthro world, only pokemon world, catgirls world and a lot, but a lot of other worlds.

What would you choose in each situation?

S1: One day, furry god appears in front of you and says:
- "You've been chosen to replace me. You are free to go to any planet you want, or create other worlds, or even create your own population where everyone likes you. You're free to do everything you want. BUT, you need to kill yourself in order to take my place. It's now or never. What do you say?"

S2:(...) says:
- "You are one of many that were chosen to populate my universe. You can live in worlds where other people and you can live peacefully with animals anthrofied or feral, but with the same rules as your little planet Earth, like: Can't have sex with someone under 18, and other ones. In order to go to this universe you need to kill yourself. So what do you say?"

The closest we can get to that now is lucid dreaming but I can't save my dream world or even get one yet.

This is making me want to study neurosciene on dreaming, maybe make somesort of technology that allows the user to choose what he/she may want to dream & remember.

You know, the idea of leaving one universe to become god of another reminds me of the story of my favorite game ever, Marathon, in which a rogue AI discovers that the universe will inevitably close up on itself, like a reverse big bang. He believes that surviving this event will transform him into a godlike entity (somehow); in his words, "Escape will make me God."

...well, except that story was a lot more interesting than this thread.

That may be true but death scares me more than anything else ever could, both my own and that of others. As such I find having the desire to take my own life (even to become a furry god lol), completely incomprehensible. I might look into this thanatology stuff.

Well yeah, taking my own life is something I'm never going to do but if you can get rid of your fear of death, you can live up your life more. Life is a beautiful lie and death is the painful truth. We are all going to pass at some point of our lives, it's inevitable. I learned to accept that fact and try to do what I can to help others while I can. It's a deep subject but I feel like death shouldn't be considered a "hushed topic" like it's forbidden to talk about it.

My fear of death is what has made me choose to live the way I have. Because of it I always focus on forms of personal expression like composing, writing and drawing as a way of making sure there will at least be some part of me left once I'm gone, aside from the memories of my friends and family (which will also be gone in a few generations).

Because I know that death will always be there ready to strike at any time I drive myself more. I always ask myself: "If I die now, have I done everything I could have?" and, of course, the answer is always no.

I didn't get the chance to study thanatology but I did study philosophy at school. I remember, even back then, joking that life is just the bit between birth and death where the sole purpose was to procreate simply to extend the longevety of our species, which, if true, kind of sucks.

Oh and by the way, that "under 18" issue is not an earth thing. It's an American thing. For most of Europe and the UK it is 16.

Federally as well, there's actually a federal law that if you have sex with anyone under 18 in another country you can get up to 30 years in prison in the US, even if it was legal where you did it.

that would be the big crunch iirc. beyond how you described it though, i don't really know all that much about that particular theory. though, now that i think of it, that does kinda remind me of something i saw in a anime once (no game no life) where someone removed column's law or whatever that force is called and it triggered an explosion equal to or greater than the big bang. heh, the protagonists won that game by mere milliseconds thanks to that stunt and to think, the game started out so peacefully too...with them conjuring a giant hydrogen bomb. lol
