A long time ago, I remember playing a fighting game demo in a WalMart store (most likely on a Gamecube or Xbox classic) where one of the major gameplay mechanics was transforming into an animal (basically a furry). From what I remember, it had a similar style to Tekken or Mortal Kombat. I thought it might be Killer Instinct but the characters don't look very familiar. I can't seem to find anything online that looks familiar though. Does anyone have any ideas of what game I might be talking about? I think I remember one specific character transformed into an anthro tiger if that helps at all.

Probably one of the Bloody Roar games. Though those were mostly for Playstations.

Uriko and Shina may have started in 2, but have been hella hot since Bloody Roar 3.

Sounds like Bloody Roar, there was 1 game in the series for Gamecube I believe

I started palying Bloody Roar on Playstation (the first one). My, that's a long time ago

Yep, there was! My experience with it was the same, honestly. A few playthroughs at a Wal-mart and little else.

Bloody Roar 4 was....a thing. Its dodge system was like something out of Budokai.

I started playing with the 3rd one. The 4th one was alright, but the only thing it really had over the 3rd one was that if you beastorized when your energy bar was maxed out, you could stay in beast form for the rest of the fight, instead of it running out after a bit.

Bloody Roar was my jam back in the day. Definitely worth picking up the first two if you still have your old playstation.

I fucking loved War of the Monsters. I used to piss off my friends by flooding the Japan level every chance I got.

I recently remembered about this one game I played back in middle school on a Mac. It was a game about a futuristic biotechnological dinosaur, sent back in time to harvest eggs and bring them to the present.

A bit of online research reminded me that the title of the game is called "Nanosaur".
