Yeah, I know I've fucked myself over here. It sucks that I've eliminated my ability to make things better for myself by verbally sucking powerful people's cocks, but I'm pissed and I want to vent, for myself, not for the benefit of anyone else.

There does not exist a superior or equal alternative, however, as 8chan's threads expire and do not have detailed indexing.

Most of my complaints boil down to the fact that this site isn't run like U18chan and thus doesn't host its servers in a place such that they can ignore copyright laws like some image sites already do. This would, of course, make some artists more antagonistic to the site, but we don't exactly need them to upload their own work when someone else will do that anyway.

I'm a fucking stupid idealist with the stupid fucking dream of there existing a site that has every piece out there and is tagged such that those pieces are easy to find.

Which is why we are so vehement against you doing this, it takes us a lot of effort and time to get to our goal, and just one stupid action like yours to jeopardize everything.

I know NMNY already kinda said this, but I just want to reiterate that this kind of attitude is what got e621 in bad standing with a lot of prominent artists in the past. Varka taking over the site was what started it turning around, working WITH artists instead of AGAINST them. I think it's a much better philosophy, because this site DOES need artists. Without them, there wouldn't be any art, so why antagonize the people who create the content? That just makes no sense. If e621 pissed off a lot of artists by ignoring their requests, after a while someone would do something drastic and get e6 in really deep shit. Isn't it also due to the fact that since most of the advertising on the site is from bad dragon, owned by varka, and thus hosting work without permission would reflect poorly on his base?

That's the reason a lot of lower quality porn sites are riddled with spammy ads, since those ads are the only ones willing to host on websites with stolen content.

There's also the fact that if artists are a finicky, often dramatically emotional, bunch. If they feel unappreciated, they may stop making as much quality art.
