Topic: [DELETION] Irrelevant to site. (Human only)

Posted under General

I made some images of jasper (Both skinny and regular) from Steven universe and they got removed from the site because the were "Irrelevant to site (Human only)" by Cane751 when I see thousands of japer art on here, who by the way is an alien not a human. the post number for them are 2453058 and 2451985

Sorry if I sound whinny, its just I was never did anything like this before and I was really proud of myself

It's been ruled that humanoids of any type that just look like unusually-colored humans, count as human for the "human-only images" rule. Because you'd have to be familiar with the franchise they come from in order to know they're anything more than humans with their skin painted/dyed/tattooed/whatever, and that defeats the entire purpose of the Tag What You See rule. So, unfortunately, any image containing only (uncorrupted) Gems, counts as human-only. It's certainly not an issue of quality, though, your art is awesome!

There are definitely other image sites where your art will be welcome because, again, it's definitely not a quality issue. But if you've really got your heart set on your art being here, unfortunately, yes, you'll need to make them furry in some way, as this is meant to be a furry art archiving site. That's been my understanding, at least...

Thank you Jacob, I'll Just Edit them no problem. I was more or less just confused. I was like "The art I spent awhile on gets deleted but not the Goblin on I spent 30 min on?" lol

Alternatively, you can add other characters to the image. It's fine to have human-like characters in an image, and even be the main focus, as long as there are also non-human critters with sufficient prominence (e.g. not a 4 pixel blob in the background).

That would be included in "make them furry in some way," yes. By "them" I meant "the images." If that wasn't clear, I apologize.

There's definitely been people pushing for more humanoid content just because they don't like the other boorus.
Personally I think opening up to general artwork sounds like a whole lot of trouble for content a decent chunk of the userbase is going to just throw on their blacklist. There's probably more people who do want humanoid content, but then this would be just another booru that happened to have some furry art sometimes.
