So, I have been curious for this for months now, but perhaps I couldn't contain my curiosity for long, so I'm asking.

Looking at the comment section (starting at this user from my threads ), I have seen some comments that had (user ######) on it. I had started to notice that since the site was rehauled in March of this year. They were active with comments and other activities up till that point, and one unactivated user with the numbers (user 22273 ), who had been around since 2010, and had a Privileged status.

My speculation was inspired by a comment from this thread about throwaway emails or something, and perhaps these users used throwaway emails for so long, or emails that are no longer in service. Unless there are more to that... 🤔

Oh wow, we have that feature now?

Edit: Just realised it basically renames your account, seems a bit confusing though to revert their member status back to "Unactivated" as opposed to something different like "Deactivated" or "Deleted".
