It's annoying and useless. There are tags that are so obvious that they don't need a wiki page, and tags that are obviously the same as another one, so they don't need a wiki page or 50 posts.

50 may be a bit too high of a requirement.
For instance, I wasn't able to submit an alias request for siting -> sitting. Siting was back up to 39 posts since the last clean-up, and will likely remain a problem until aliased.
I've addressed this twice before, but I'll add it here too since it's pertinent. I had tried to submit a 'bulk update request' but was unable to after some error messages including 'tagged on less than 50 posts' and 'lack of a corresponding wiki page'. I tried removing many tags from the bulk update request, but the error messages persisted.
I've lowered the limit to 20 posts and it now no longer requires wiki pages for implications. The wiki page change was an oversight when I removed it from aliases.
Is there any consideration for artist name aliases? Certain alternate names may not get used often to reach the limit, but without an alias could require regular cleanup. Especially for foreign artist names since those can't be tagged now, let alone reach the limit before suggesting an alias to an ASCII name.

Probably better to poke somebody on the mod team about these so they can be created, but it's valid to create an alias from non-ascii to ascii within the system to my understanding, but not the other way around.

Thanks for that quick update! post #133125
I've got some clarification questions regarding the update though:
