Topic: Artist is not on DNP but searching gives zero results?

Posted under General

First time on forums, so sorry if this isn't the right place.

I remember seeing an artist's work up on the site, (artist being eggubboyo), and currently the autofill when typing their name shows that there's 19 results. However, searching the artist up gives 0, and I can't find any info anywhere as to what happened to their stuff or whether or not I'm allowed to upload considering I don't see them on the DNP list.

Can someone clarify what's going on?

So do we just wait for them to put "18" in their twitter bio until the stuff gets reuploaded or what?

Likely, the artist needs to prove they've come of age just as any banned user does, by messaging the staff with whatever the staff require as evidence.

OK, so the explicit art from an underaged artist got removed, no problem. But why did the safe art get deleted? That makes no sense to me

I'm gonna be honest

That's dumb as fuck

The reason why this website as whole is 18+ is because of laws. Pornsites doesn't do the age restrictions for fun, they would have much more users if they just allowed all everyone to come in.
These laws are in place to protect people. I'm almost certain anyone in their 20's will remember lots of stupid stuff they did as teens, including sexual stuff as puberty and hormones and all that good jazz, so it's extremely easy to exploit such people and I have heard of grooming stories even in furry communities. 18 years in most countries is the cutting point as that is when majority of people have matured enough to make level headed decisions and are also now legally responsiple for their own decisions.

We would have conundrum of hosting content that cannot be viewed under 18yo people, from artist that themselves aren't 18yo, so they cannot access the site to look at their own stuff. I have also several times filed ticket on furaffinity where clearly underaged person is posting explicit content, so their content is also removed on there if they fail to verify their age to the staff, but at least FA is accessible to 13+ people as long as mature content is blocked.

Thank god this is only artwork we are talking about, because I have seen cases of underaged people sharing nudes, at which point if they shared those with you, you are now in legal posession of literal child porn which is extremely serious crime - crime which you are committing, not them for sharing the photos.

Basically. That is how age works. If you drink alcohol at age of 16, that doesn't suddenly give you right to buy more alcohol from the store, you have to wait for that day that you can change your age on twitter bio to 18.
This is why people with goddamn brain either don't yell their age out loud and/or keep their explicit stuff private until they are legally able to share those and/or access websites where they can share those.

Also just to mention that they did already delete explicit pornographic images from their accounts already so we were essentially just mirroring the content that didn't exsist in sources anymore, could've been sites like twitter or patreon enforcing that, could've been they themselves deleting them to lower the heat.

Kinda touched that earlier. We are 18+ site, so if the artist wants their content out from here, they cannot legally access the site to ask for it to be taken down, so it's kinda akward loop.
I'm sure we do have lot of underaged artists works posted here and there, especially as many do like keeping their age hidden or simply not mention it, but we might not be able to enforce situations unless they get high profile like this.

So, art that depicts minors as furries engaging in sexual acts is allowed.

SFW art from an artist that is a minor is not allowed.

...

I don't know why I expected logical reasoning from furries.

What's not logical about it? A fictional character is a fictional character. They aren't being harmed by anything, because they don't exist. An underaged artist is a real person who can be harmed or abused by things, and thus need protection.
