Topic: How do I pool my uploads?(I dont even think thats the right term)

Posted under General

Hey you know how people post two pieces of art that's either a continuation of events happening per post or are variations of each other and they put that thing that makes a "pool" for them or a tab that redirects them to the other variant image? The tab on the left hand side of a post when you view it?

See I just uploaded two variants of the same piece but I can't figure out how to for lack of a better word "connect" them for the life of me and I'd like to know how to do it myself for future post. Been at it for hours, help and advice would be greatly appreciated~!

If it's just two, put one as a parent/child of another.
Click on edit when you are viewing one of the images.

If it is only a couple images, you can have them as parent/children of one another. Usually this is seen in lineart to colored works or slight variants. However, if you have a large amount of variants, or a large sequence/connected story, then a pool is recommended. You hit the pool tab at the top of the page and create a new one, then add the posts to the pool, either by the button on the actual physical post saying "add to pool" OR you can add pool:NUMBER to the physical tags of the post, replacing NUMBER with the pool's number in the url.

Ok but how exactly do I just do two? It's an ass focus shot, one with fishnet and one without. Just two variations

if you look into the URL of one of the images, or along the left side of the posts page you'll notice a post ID, example this forums ID is 283464, you take that chain of numbers from one of the related posts than go to the other one and click edit you'll notice a provided parent section which you can just input the numbers.
