@Kemonophonic: But to what end? I'm beginning to wonder if there's any point, if it isn't the people or the artwork.

Even if is isn't what it used to be, I still don't know anywhere else I feel like home. I couldn't get into other sites and other spaces have not been as friendly. So I'm still here and waiting for things to get better. As long as I have others that will wait it out with me I think I will be okay

@French_Fried: I'm with you. Right now, a few of the comics and my DMs with a couple of other users are about the only things keeping me here. For all the same reasons. The art's not what it used to be, and if I get started about the toxic discussions, I'm just going to put myself in a funk.

🤔 that sounds beside the point

Yeah, in some websites the toxicity, hatred, and ignorance is clearly promoted and facilitated by mods, or they are even the prime mover in it.

But here I honestly think it's some of the best quality moderation I've seen, even though I disagree with some decisions (eg. pterrippus is not a better name for pegasus, regardless of whether it is more correct, IMO); I think they are substantially successful in marginalizing bad behaviour.

I've run out of games to play. I'm sure I'll find something to play though if I look around on Steam. Anyone know any good games I should try?

I made chocolate chip cookies with buckwheat flour, cocoa & espresso powders, toasted sunflower seeds, and candied citron. They were amazing.

Oh okay global blacklist gore ws and scat specifically for 'legal reasons' but shit like bestiality is a-ok.

Didn't realize peeing was criminal lmao

I suggest reading NMNY's post about this.

The only moral element to this is 'what will get rid of the largest volume of pointless harassment of the site (from government officials and low-effort trolls)?'. The default blacklist seems arbitrary because it's based on empirical data, not a unifying principle.

Yeah, that comment is weird. What transparency?
Maybe I don't notice it because …

probably because on the post page, the image element has a white background applied to it with CSS

you can see the transparent areas easily by changing the background to black (paste into url bar):
data:text/html,<body style='background-color:black;'><img src='http://static1.e621proxy.ru/data/ed/30/ed30cf6342e60f91d232c58430d46727.gif'></body>

Oh my god. The pool arrows are above the fucking ads! I’ve clicked the ads seven times at this point! How can a site update have so many issues like this?

I haven't had a problem with that - if anything, my biggest problem is that the previous/first and next/last buttons are too close to each other.

Wow, I'm loving the new design, I can't wait to see the site once all the final polishing has been done. Exciting stuff! ^_^

Though I’m keeping track of how many times I’ve clicked on adverts in pure accident. You can see the number on my profile.

I know I’ve been complaining about the site update but allow me a praise. You can look at the posts you commented on. I love that addition. Looking back on my comments back when I first joined is nostalgic.

@CCoyote: That's not what I meant. I had a whole section of my favorite artists encased in DText on my profile, which has been turned to dust. I'm betting a lot of users will come back to the new eSix upset.

Sounds like a pretty specific bug. Has the data actually been deleted or does it show up in the plain text field when you edit your profile?
If it doesn't, then I guess the admins will need to look at the backup to see what triggered it (and hopefully can just give you a copy of the lost text).

@anime52: Use tags date: for exact date or age: for determining how old posts you want to see, combine with order:score or order:favcount depending on which one you want to utilize to determine what's popular (I prefer favcount as it's more accurate, popular page uses votes aka score). If you want the most popular from last couple days, use order:rank only.
Then just add in other tags you might want to use on top of that, e.g. -female if you do not want to see females on the list. The limit has been raised from 6 to 40.

Can't even search my favorites anymore to find a specific one....wow. Loving this new website look, keep finding more cases of eyesores and unbroken things being "fixed".

Rip my entire favorites list from my profile as well as a lot of DMails that had DText formatting. Not liking this changeover so far

Is it intentional that previous usernames are visible again in this new site design?

They're only visible to the user themselves and admins. You can check this out for yourself by clicking my name. I have a name change where I switched from notmenotyou to NotMeNotYou. You shouldn't be able to see the previous name on my profile.

I'm curious as to how the mods/janitors tackle approving posts. Do they go through each individual pending post in sequential order and painstakingly analyze each one?

Just asking because there's something I uploaded that's been pending for approval for over a week. Sorry if this sounds like I'm being ungrateful or whatever, you guys are doing an amazing job and don't get enough respect for it.
