@vex714: It doesn't help that we aren't taught it's about history and awareness, but instead about Pride! Which sparks long winded arguments over literally nothing due to lack there of real information.

@Versperus: Ah, I see your point. I mean the month ought to essentially have all at the same time. History/education/pride.
History first for me though, there's plenty of time for Borat thongs and Pegasus wings later.
