@NotMeNotYou: @Mairo: I'm barely following, but I'm trying. This is the first I've heard of PPI. I can see why I won't notice anything in a 4k vid on a 1080p on a monitor. I've seen it with the JJBA vid in 4K

@vex714: However, the only big difference is that the same image will simply have more and finer details than the 1080p version. So for example fine hairs are visible, details on the fabric of clothes, distinct distant leaves, that sort of thing.

@vex714: Also, you won't be able to see a difference between 4k and 1080p on a 1080p monitor because the gpu will scale the image down to 1080p. The difference is visible if you zoom into the video, or watch it on a 4k Display.
