I was desperate for gas. I was down to 2 miles left according to my meter. Having to pay $51.00 for an empty tank. I’ve been doing half a tank refills due to fuckin’ gas prices still expensive these days but…got a bit lazy.

The price you pay for laziness, I guess.

Average around here being almost 4.50 per gal. I remember when people were livid about it hitting $3 a gallon years ago. It's really not worth having a car. Insurance/maintenance/gas. Time for bike, or an electric one. I see more and more people on those electric bikes these days.

Not where I’m from. Not a lot or bikers. I take the highway to drive to work. Bikes aren’t a friendly use to highway streets anyways. Especially how antsy people get here. And plus, it’s the ONLY road that leads to my work. No reroutes.

Regular has been in the $1.70-1.75/litre the last couple years up here (with only a temporary 10-20c correction due the pandemic, with less demand). That is what, $5.25-5.50 USD/gal ? Y'all still have fuel cheaper than most of the rest of the world.

In the big cities, there has been serious expansion of plug-in hybrids and full electrics, yet anywhere in the suburbs or further out of town all you see are F150s and mid-and-full sized SUVs. People adjust.

I remember when fuel prices hit $1.50/litre a few years ago up here in Canada, and people lost their shit and traded in all their Durangos and Yukons. Prices for well-used (I mean /old/) Geo Metros went thru the roof :/

Then it hit $1.60/litre the next summer.
