@Chameloshi: Do you have a 360S without the internal drive? If yes that's likely the problem, and the packaging of the game should have mentioned it needs an HDD.

@NotMeNotYou: yes, it doesn't have anything in the HDD slot, most likely because it was a pre-owned Christmas gift from my brother
And I also didn't even know that an HDD was required for anything whatsoever, which is why I didn't read the box
